June 27th is National Pineapple Day, and at Trader Vic’s, we’re raising a glass to one of our favorite tropical ingredients—the pineapple!
Sweet, tart, and loaded with island vibes, this iconic fruit has been cultivated in Hawaii since 1901 and remains a symbol of hospitality, warmth, and aloha spirit around the world. It’s no wonder it’s at the heart of so many of our most beloved cocktails and dishes.
Shake Up a Spiked Pineapple

To honor the occasion, we’re spotlighting one of our go-to summer cocktails: the Spiked Pineapple—a refreshing, fruit-forward drink that’s equal parts bold and beachy.
Spiked Pineapple Recipe:
-
1 oz. Light Rum
-
1 oz. Gold Rum
-
1/4 oz. Banana Curacao
-
1/2 oz. Trader Vic’s Rock Candy Syrup
-
2 oz. Pineapple Juice
Method: Flash blend with cracked ice and pour into a tall glass. Top it off with a float of dark rum, and garnish with pineapple fronds for that full tropical effect.
