The Daiquiri is one of the first drinks that Trader Vic learned in Havana, Cuba from the master, Constantino of Bar La Florida. A simple but perfect libation with many variations. The recipe shown here (below) is from the 1958 Bar Recipe Index from Trader Vic’s Havana. 

Trader Vic's Habana Daiquiri: In Waring Blender, add the following: Juice of 1 whole lime (finger squeezed), 3/4oz. Fresh Grapefruit Juice, 1 tsp Bar Sugar, 1/2oz Maracino Liqueur, 2oz Light Rum. Put in 12oz Planters Punch glass full of loosely packed crushed ice. Blend thoroughly and strain through kitchen strainer into Tiki Stem Pearl Glass
